A quick note...

OK folks. Hang on to your seats... Led Zeppelin is reuniting for a one-time charity concert. That's right, a full set of Led Zeppelin (with Jason Bonham filling in for his late father)!!! Mark Morford wrote a great article on the subject of the concert and the concept of the rock god. Click here for the BBC press release. Now, if I could only get a ticket! Yeah right... The O2 arena has 10,000 seats. 10,000 seats for a ba-jillion led zeppelin fans? What?!!!

And no, I won't sell my soul to the devil for some lame-ass Biggest Fan Contest. Yes I have a Zoso tattoo, but I don't own every piece of Led Zeppelin memorabilia known to man... and that shouldn't make you the biggest fan anyways. It's all about getting goosebumps when zep comes on the radio. It's about picking up Led Zeppelin 1 in the fifth grade and being BLOWN AWAY by the sheer monstrosity of rock n roll in your headphones. It's all about having the utmost respect for the greatest rock band that ever lived. :)

New Pictures from my trip to the Dominican Republic!

Hello Everyone.... haven't posted in a while.  Pretty busy these days after getting back from a 7 day vacation in the Dominican Republic (Oct 3 - 10). I went with a few friends (Sarah, Kelly and Hemal - part of the Rock Steady crew) from law school and we had a blast! I highly recommend the "Blue Bay Getaway Villas Doradas" which is an amazing adults-only (see: no kids allowed) all-inclusive resort in Playa Dorada... very close to Puerto Plata. Round trip airfare, hotel, and all meals AND drinks (alcohol or not) was only $630! Check TravelZoo for more deals on the DR. :)

We did a lot in the DR and made it a point to get away from the resort for a couple days to take in the authentic culture. One of the best trips was a night excursion to Cabrete (the surf town of the DR). We rented a Taxi and the gentleman (Alex - 23) who drove us to Cabrete hung out with us all night and showed us where to purchase the cheapest drinks! Where else can you pay $60 for someone to drive you 30 minutes to another town, party with you for 5-6 hours, and then take you back home?!!! I even got a sweet techno mix CD from Alex! Crazy! We also went shopping in Puerto Plata (gifts for Sarah P.!), snorkeling in Sosua Bay, and golfing (2 rounds of 9 holes) at Playa Doradas Golf Course. Not to mention a crazy night at the Casino (stay away from the sucker tax Bingo game!)... dancing at the Mangu bar and Hemingway's... and boozing it up with so many British folk!!! (Davey Jones Locker, Jimmy, Steve, Sarah, Sasha, John, Craig, Esta... I forget the others... hmmm.... I wonder why? Too many drinks? Perhaps). Daytime activites usually included relaxing poolside, water volleyball, beach volleyball, horseshoes, eating (you could eat whenever you wanted), and of course lots and lots of drinking (hey, it's free, right?). Presidente (the local brew) is your friend... along with Fanta and Vodka (a favorite of Hemal's). :) Feel free to email me if you have any questions about the DR or the trip!! :)
